Sound Transit Awards Practik for Fabrication and Installation of Christopher Paul Jordan Artworks
Practik is honored to partner with Sound Transit Art Program to fabricate and install two new multimedia artworks by artist Christopher Paul Jordan. Slated for permanent homes at the Kent/Des Moines and Star Lake Stations along the Federal Way Link Extension, Practik will be working closely with the artist to translate his vision. Fabrication will break ground Summer of 2025, and the artwork will be open for the public to experience in the Spring of 2026.
Christopher Paul Jordan is a painter, sculptor, and installation artist who received an MFA in Painting from Yale University in 2023. He is interested in the afterlife of memory; in the ways oral tradition is altered and negotiated in conditions of diaspora. His practice deals with continuance, analog internets, infrastructures of knowledge and care, and technologies for corresponding with locations beyond reach. His public work includes andimgonnamiseverybody at the AIDS Memory Pathway in Seattle, WA.
