Design assessment is the first step in translating creative ideas into actionable plans. As specialists in both structural and decorative metal applications, Practik’s experienced designers excel in optimizing preliminary designs for production methods. We offer 3D modeling, engineering and full construction plans as part of the design process.
Practik is committed to preserving the integrity of each artist’s vision. Our process includes feasibility assessments, site surveys, structural engineering, technical drawings, mock-ups, samples, finish schedules and material compatibility to ensure every project is both beautiful and buildable.
Fabrication Planning
Practik values a team-minded approach to partnering with artists and stakeholders. Our in-house fabrication team plays a vital role in the planning process, conducting comprehensive analysis to assess how each design will impact production, installation, and long-term maintenance.
Fabrication planning includes the development of detailed shop drawings, coordination with subcontractors and site contractors, formal approval processes, code compliance review, production phasing, and the implementation of efficient workflow systems.
This essential pre-production phase ensures alignment across all stakeholders—helping to deliver each project within the scope of work, budget and timeline.
Project Management
Following the pre-production phase, Practik’s project managers collaborate closely with our fabrication teams to coordinate efficient and well-organized production. Strong organizational systems support adaptive problem-solving as projects evolve and new factors such as schedule, site, or market factors come into play.
Project management services include sourcing, documentation archiving, welding inspections, progress reports, studio and site visits, as-builts, ongoing coordination with subcontractors and other site contractors. We also ensure full compliance with project-specific licensing, labor regulations, and safety requirements.
