How it all started…
Practik co-founders Chelsea Gaddy and Ignacio Lopez first met while working together at Force/Collide on the fabrication of “Inheritance” by Michelle de la Vega. Hundreds of stainless steel “family trees” were used to create 1,500 sq ft of lattice that clad a steel A-frame house, measuring 13’ W x 30’ L x 25’ H. Michelle conceived of the piece as a monument to the community the stations were built on.
“Inheritance” is installed in the plaza just outside the Kent/Des Moines Station Garage. Please join us to celebrate during the Opening Ceremony on 12/6 from 11am-3pm.
